We returned to the Dara garage (bus terminal) from Bosra to find many a taxi tout waiting for us, all shouting “Jordan, Jordan” over each other. One of these guys offered to take us over the border and to a nearby town for 200 Syrian Pounds (about $5). He was a little too silver-tongued for us, but then we were captured from the word go by the cheap price, and threw our luggage in. After the driver took care of some paperwork (still not exactly clear what this was, but I think it had to do with being authorized to take us across the border), we were off.
