After an epic 30 hours plus bus journey from Tabriz we finally arrived in the heart of Istanbul. But without a guidebook or even a map, we were left wondering exactly where we had been let off the bus. We were able to get a map at inflated price from a nearby kiosk, but that didn’t help much since there were no street signs whatever. Finally we were approached by a young Turk on his way to work who was kind enough not only to tell us where we were and how to get where we wanted to go, but even took the time to take us to the correct bus stop. A good first impression to be sure.
イランのタブリーズで乗った超長距離バス、30時間以上の大移動を終えてイスタンブールの街中で降りた。イスタンブールのガイドブックも地図もないので、どこに降ろされたのか全くわからない。近くのキヨスクで地図を買ったけど、今いる道の名前がどうしても見つからない。うーん、困ったなあと頭を掻いていると、通勤中の若い男性が場所を教えてくれて、ホテルの近くまで行くバス乗り場にわざわざ連れて行ってくれた。 (続きを読む…)
